Approach

A Warm, Direct Approach to Overcoming Anxiety and OCD

St. Petersburg Anxiety and OCD Counseling is a specialty therapy practice dedicated to treating OCD and anxiety disorders with evidence-based, effective care. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative, rooted in helping you understand your symptoms and feel empowered to change your relationship with anxiety.


I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as the foundation of treatment, using practical skills to help you notice patterns, challenge unhelpful responses, and build new, healthier habits. Within CBT, I specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard therapy for OCD and one of the most effective treatments for anxiety. Together, we gradually face the triggers that keep anxiety looping, while reducing the compulsions and avoidance that strengthen it.


I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you develop psychological flexibility, learning to make space for difficult thoughts and feelings while staying connected to your values and the life you want to build.


Sessions are active, supportive, and focused on real progress. My goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your mind and body, respond to anxiety in new ways, and reclaim a sense of freedom and self-trust.
